Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）位於波爾多梅多克的Margaux產區，該酒莊在1855分級（1855 Classification）中被評為四級莊（Fourth Growth）。Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）的歷史最早可追溯至羅馬時期，其前身是一個教會的修道院，由Abbaye de Vertheuil的僧侶創建於西元1,000年左右，釀造的葡萄酒供應給Saint-Didier de Cantenac教區的居民，以供用餐和宗教儀式。Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）所在地是前往西班牙Santiago de Compostela參拜的朝聖者們途經梅多克時主要的休整地點。在這一時期，這座修道院因其高品質的葡萄酒而遠近聞名。

12至17世紀，修道院的葡萄園種植著多種作物，直到18世紀才有所改變。當時，梅多克地區的葡萄酒引起了人們極大的興趣，尤其是英國人的關注，修道院的這塊土地便由混合種植改為單一種植葡萄樹。在這一時期，Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）的葡萄酒品質不斷提升，在當時十分著名的一個排名——1745波爾多皇家政府分級（1745 Bordeaux's Royal Administration Classification）中被列為瑪歌與Cantenac地區的三級酒莊。法蘭西第一帝國時期，酒莊脫離教會的管轄，所有權轉移至一個名叫Durand Delains的波爾多葡萄酒商人手中。在Durand Delains的精心管理下，Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）的葡萄酒品質不斷提升，價格也一路上漲。在梅多克1855分級中，Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）正式被評為四級莊。此後，酒莊經歷了一段頻繁易主的過程，再加上當時的一些像白粉病和根瘤蚜之類的葡萄園病蟲害，以及經濟蕭條和戰爭的影響，酒莊發展一度陷入停滯狀態。直到1951年，Alexis Lichine收購了酒莊，當時只有4公頃的葡萄園仍在投入生產。收購酒莊兩年後，Alexis Lichine將酒莊名由“Chateau Prieure-Cantenac”更改為“Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）”，附上了自己的名字。Alexis Lichine接管酒莊後，便立刻著手於酒莊的重建工作，不斷擴充葡萄園面積，更新酒莊設備，並通過向公眾開放酒莊參觀等舉措促進酒莊的復興。Alexis Lichine被稱為“Pope of wine（葡萄酒界教皇）”，是一位卓越的釀酒師和品鑒家，他寫了好幾本葡萄酒暢銷書，孜孜不倦地宣傳波爾多的葡萄酒。在1989年Alexis Lichine去世後，Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）由其兒子Sacha Lichine繼承。Sacha Lichine繼承父親遺志，繼續不斷擴大葡萄園的面積。然而在1999年，Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）被Ballande Group收購，此後由該集團一直經營至今。值得一提的是，Ballande Group聘請著名釀酒師斯Stephane Derenoncourt擔任Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）的釀酒顧問，他是全球最具影響力的釀酒顧問之一，他所指導釀造的多款葡萄酒都曾獲得Robert Parker的滿分評價，可見其釀酒技藝之高超。

如今，Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）占地85公頃，其中葡萄園面積為77.5公頃，園內土壤主要為第四紀冰川溶解時，由河流沖刷形成的礫石，還混合有鵝卵石、沙石以及黏土，這種貧瘠但排水能力好的土壤非常適合葡萄樹生長，能促使其紮根土壤深處以獲取適當的水分和營養物質。葡萄園內種有50%的Cabernet Sauvignon、45% Merlot 和5% Petit Verdot。

在釀造過程中，Chateau Prieure-Lichine（荔仙酒莊）使用15個不同尺寸的混凝土罐和10個不同尺寸的控溫不銹鋼罐來進行葡萄酒液的酒精發酵。在發酵時，釀酒師會儘量延長發酵時間，並採用柔和的發酵方式，以獲取充沛而絲滑的單寧。之後，葡萄酒會進行浸漬，浸漬時長根據不同的葡萄酒液特點會有所不同，隨後，正牌酒會在新橡木桶中進行Malolactic Fermentation。接著，葡萄酒液會進行16個月的陳釀。在陳釀時，釀酒師會不時地進行品鑒，根據葡萄酒狀態及時調整釀造方法，並且會攪動酒泥以及進行倒罐或微氧化（葡萄酒的發展程度決定是否進行這一工序），最後會下膠，以穩定葡萄酒的結構。

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Prieure-Lichine offers up notes of fresh redcurrants, blackcurrant pastilles, boysenberries and dried Provence herbs, plus wafts of tobacco leaf and pencil shavings. Medium-bodied, the palate delivers a great intensity of pure black and red fruit flavors, framed by grainy tannins and a lively backbone, finishing long with a refreshing herbal lift.

The first bottle of the 2020 Prieuré-Lichine was corked. The second takestime to unfurl with blackberry, gravel and crushed violet. The palate ismedium-bodied with fine tannins, sapid black fruit, brine and sea salt.There's real salinity here, and it leaves you salivating for more on thefinish. This is very promising.
